The international collaboration project CROSSROADS SAKSALANHARJU has started in August 2009.
In August the first two artists were exploring how to collaborate in artistic way and to find
inspiration from the environment and each other.
The Latvian sculptor Matiass Jansons is born in Latvia and has studied
at the Latvian Art Academy in Riga. In his sculptures he searches for
factures from rough against pulled and are therefore often created in
one material by details in another.
His background as the third generation sculptors brings a great
expertise in traditional techniques combined with an open mind for new
experiences. His participation in the collaboration project CROSSROADS
SAKSALANHARJU can activate the eExchange in ideas, vision and practice
which are fundamental parts of the
collaboration project. The cross-border will go in different directions.
Matiass Jansons will participate in March 2010 and collaborate with Siard.
