Practical experiences are important to develop ideas and to gain more in-depth
knowledge in the field of art education.
One of these practical experiences is initiated by Margreet Huisman, a Dutch
ceramist. She introduces the experimental paper kiln to (art) teachers and
inspires them to use simple materials by building ceramic kilns.
In summer 2006 she has the first workshops in the fields of Saksala.
 |
The ceramist Margreet
Huisman has an excellent record of service as a specialist in kiln
experiences, ceramic art, art educator and as organizer of projects and
international events.
She has a great international network of relations in the field of art
and with her ideas to introduce experimental paper kilns in art centre
Saksala ArtRadius, she starts with sharing her expertise in the EU-project
ART ENLARGES THE AREA.
She makes plans to continue the experiments and to invite teachers and
experts to work with her.
In winter 2007 the next part will take place in the snow.
