To start a workshop in
an unknown class room an inspection of the materials and tools is
important.
It is nice to see how much materials and tools were available.
Materials like fabric, wool, sewing machines etc,, there is enough
choice
for the students.
The students have already much experiences with handicraft and are very
practical orientated in starting the work.

Planning an art lesson is also looking after the materials and the
information useful rot the introduction.
In Ylä-aste Haukivuori the materials for textile and handicraft are
plenty available in storage.
There are also many tools like enough sewing machines.
The students are used to work with this machines and can work for
oneself.
Preparing the introduction some of the works from Jolanda were exhibited
in the class room.
This works were there all the time, also during the working period of
the students.
Other material. like pictures are standby.
The art teacher Anna Toljamo was available to assist, for example
to translate and to connect the experiences the students could have with
the new elements.
