symposium CHILDREN'S LABYRINTH 2010 - artists

PROPOSAL
With Dancing Figures Project it is the intention to create a totally natural, ephemeral
works with natural materials, like stones, wood and branches , also works who
are easy to play the children with them, so if you touch the figures to shake or
move and to be interested to play with them.
Main focus is on the essence of how people relate to each other, space, the
environment they are in, influence of time, history, culture and how these
change and interrelate to each other.
In that case I enjoy working with people and groups ( especial children) in the
process of making art.
ON SITE
The different elements will be situated in open spaces in the LABYRINTH and
invite children to move them by standing between the branches on the stone, or
to move the smaller ones from outside.
Curator of this symposium is the sculptor
Lucien den Arend living
and working in Kangasniemi.
